By having annual meetings, the society enables close interactions and encourages collaborative work among the members and provides a forum to learn new developments in the field of natural products.

To honor him and continue his mission of promoting natural products research, the NPSP features the work of a young researcher. The search is open to a natural product scientist who obtained his/her PhD within the last 3 years and who can represent the ideals and passion of Dr. A. C. Santos in fostering natural products research in the Philippines.
