The last Asian Symposium On Medicinal Plants ,Spices and other Natural Products (ASOMPS) meeting, which is an important international event in the field of natural product sciences, was held in University of Karachi, Pakistan in December 2013, with over 600 eminent scientists and researchers from 60 countries participating. Following this success, the 15th ASOMPS meeting will be held, after 25 years, again in the Philippines back to back with the 22nd Natural Products Society of the Philippines (NPSP) convention with the theme “Unified Natural Products Research: Translating to Society’s Benefit”. The NPSP is committed to bring forth to the scientific community and to the public timely and relevant discoveries related to natural products. The objective of this international symposium is to encourage closer interactions among scientists in the world, enable collaborations and strengthen existing cooperation that will advance research for the development of natural products. In addition, this event will foster exposure of younger generation of scientists to current trends and directions in the natural products sciences and inspire them to pursue this field of research.
